Origami Totoro - how to fold origami Totoro?

Inspiration for origami can come from not only natural images, but also mythical creatures and even the heroes of your favorite cartoons. The most famous example of such a figure is the forest spirit of Totoro from the eponymous cartoon directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

"My neighbor - Totoro" is considered the main landmark of both Studio Ghibli and the master of Japanese animation himself, Hayao Miyazaki. The story of the summer adventures of the two sisters, Satsuki and May, their move to the village and meeting with the forest spirit leave a feeling of finding joy in everyday life. The combination of the fantastic and everyday, the poeticization of nature, the world through the eyes of a child is what we all love this cartoon for.

This story touched origami master Robert Glynn as well. Since he has already invented various characters of cartoons and children's TV shows, he decided to try to depict the forest spirit of Totoro in origami, which turned out to be quite realistic looking.
